Chewy oatmeal raisin cookies: simple and delicious.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup shortening
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1.6660000085831 cups quick cooking oats
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and generously grease the cookie sheets.
  • Cream together the shortening and sugar in a medium bowl until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the milk. Gradually stir in the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon into the creamed mixture. Fold in raisins and quick oats until just combined. Drop spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
