Delightful raspberry iced tea with a hint of mint, perfect for using up extra raspberries. Serve in chilled glasses for a refreshing touch.
Ingredients:
1galloncold water, divided
1Pintfresh Raspberries
2family sized tea bags, or more to taste
1Cupwhite sugar
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and simmer until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat, then stir in raspberries and tea bags, gently crushing the raspberries with a spoon.
Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes or until it reaches your preferred strength, then discard the tea bags.
Strain mixture through a sieve, discarding raspberries, into a 1-gallon pitcher. For a stronger raspberry flavor, you can skip this step and keep raspberries in the pitcher. Top off the pitcher with cold water and chill for about 1 hour before serving.
