Tender venison strips marinated and cooked with sweet caramelized onions for a mouthwatering delight.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup raspberry vinaigrette
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 pounds venison, cut into 1/2-inch strips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 2 sweet onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, combine the raspberry vinaigrette, maple syrup, and soy sauce. Add the venison and mix well to coat evenly. Set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, let the butter, olive oil, water, onions, and garlic come to a boil. Cook and stir until onions caramelize to a deep, golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes. Once golden, mix in sugar and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add the venison with its flavorful marinade into the pan. Sauté and stir until the venison is cooked through, approximately 5 minutes.
