Raspberry-Granola Bars

Irresistible old-fashioned crumb bars.
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups Cascadian Farm™ organic oats & honey granola
  • 1 cup Cascadian Farm™ organic raspberry fruit spread
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease an 8-inch square pan. In a large bowl, mix the egg white, butter, brown sugar, canola oil, and vanilla until creamy using a spoon.
  • Incorporate flour, baking powder, and baking soda, then gently fold in the granola.
  • Press most of the dough into the pan. Spread the spreadable fruit almost to the edges. Crumble the rest of the dough on top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and set. Let cool for about 30 minutes. Cut into 4x4 rows to make bars.
