Family heirloom bologna recipe passed down through generations - irresistibly delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons sugar-based curing mixture (such as Morton® Tender Quick®)
  • 0.125 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring
Instructions:
  • Combine ground beef, curing salt, water, garlic powder, onion powder, and liquid smoke in a large bowl, mixing well with your hands. Divide mixture in half and shape each half into a roll. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C), then unwrap the beef rolls and place them on a greased baking sheet or roasting pan.
  • Bake the meat in a preheated oven for 1 hour, flipping it halfway through. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled. Slice and enjoy in sandwiches.
