Make homemade Canadian poutine with crispy fries, hot gravy, and fresh cheese curds for a comforting meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 (10.25 ounce) can beef gravy
  • 5 medium potatoes, cut into fries
  • 2 cups cheese curds
Instructions:
  • Warm up the oil in a deep fryer or a heavy skillet until it reaches 365 degrees F (185 degrees C).
  • Start warming the gravy while the oil is heating.
  • Fry the potatoes in hot oil until golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Arrange the fries on a platter and generously sprinkle cheese on top.
  • Pour the warm gravy over the fries and cheese, then serve right away.
