Classic hummus with tahini and lemon, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer. Enjoy with warm pita or veggies.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 (19 ounce) can garbanzo beans, half the liquid reserved
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Blend garlic until finely chopped.
  • Place the garbanzo beans into the blender, setting aside a tablespoon for garnish. Pour in the reserved liquid, lemon juice, tahini, and salt. Blend until smooth and fully combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a medium serving bowl. Top with a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of pepper, and garnish with the reserved garbanzo beans.
