Make a mouthwatering Reuben double decker sandwich.
Ingredients:
  • 12 slices by Laurent Wholemeal Sourdough Vienna
  • 80ml dressing
  • 80g baby spinach leaves
  • 16 slices shaved pastrami or silverside
  • 410g can sauerkraut, rinsed, drained
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese, halved
Instructions:
  • Set aside 4 slices of bread. Spread the rest of the bread with the thousand island dressing. Place half of the dressed bread on serving plates. Add half of the spinach, pastrami or silverside, sauerkraut, and cheese on top.
  • Assemble the remaining bread, dressing-side up, with spinach, pastrami or silverside, sauerkraut, and cheese. Top with the reserved bread and serve right away.
