Rice Pudding with Rose Water

Creamy rice pudding infused with fragrant rose water, topped with crunchy slivered almonds.
Ingredients:
  • 3.5 cups whole milk, or more as needed
  • 0.5 cup white rice
  • 1.5 teaspoons rose water
  • 0.5 cup blanched slivered almonds
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, bring milk and sugar to a boil. Stir in rice until mixture boils again. Reduce heat to low and simmer until very creamy, about 45 minutes. Stir in more milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
  • Add rose water to the mixture and stir until bubbles form on the surface. Remove from heat and let it cool. Transfer the rice pudding to a bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chilled. Serve cold with a sprinkle of almonds on top.
