Juicy pork chops with caramelized onions - a surefire hit for family dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 4 thick cut pork chops
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large onion, peeled and sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a cozy 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and set up a roasting rack in a baking dish.
  • Season pork chops generously with salt and pepper, then arrange them on a roasting rack. Top the chops with a layer of onions. Add approximately 1 cup of water to the roasting pan, ensuring it does not reach the pork chops. Cover tightly with foil or a lid.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for about 1 hour until no longer pink in the center. Check for doneness by cutting into one chop or using an instant-read thermometer; it should read at least 145°F (63°C). Once fully cooked, remove the foil or lid and crisp up in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes until slightly browned. Keep an eye on them while browning.
