Ingredients:
  • 600g (about 24) chestnuts
  • 30g butter
  • 12.00 gm brown sugar
  • 0.63 gm ground cinnamon
  • Sea salt flakes, to sprinkle
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C and score a cross on the flat side of each chestnut. Roast on a large baking tray for 20 minutes, then wrap them in a clean tea towel to cool slightly before peeling.
  • In a large frying pan over medium heat, melt butter until it sizzles. Add chestnuts, sugar, and cinnamon, stirring for 2 minutes until they meld together beautifully. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and finish with a generous sprinkle of sea salt for a perfect balance of flavors.
