Indulge in buttery, cinnamon-infused roasted chestnuts for a sweet and nutty holiday delight.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound chestnuts
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Rinse and pat dry the chestnuts. Place them flat-side down on a cutting board. With a paring knife, carefully make a large "X" on the rounded side, ensuring the cuts penetrate the outer skin and brown layer. This will make peeling easier post-roasting. Transfer the prepared chestnuts to a shallow baking pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Allow the baked goods to cool slightly, then gently peel off the shells.
  • In a skillet, sauté nuts with butter over high heat until coated. Roast in the oven until golden. Sprinkle with cinnamon and salt.
