Indulge in chocolate lover's brownies topped with crunchy pretzels for a decadent dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 5 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
  • 4 oz bittersweet or semisweet baking chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup dry-roasted peanuts
  • 18 craft sticks (flat wooden sticks with round ends) or paper lollipop sticks
  • 2 oz vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), chopped
  • 1/3 cup small pretzel twists, coarsely crushed (15 pretzels)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 13x9-inch pan with foil, extending over 2 sides and spraying with cooking spray. In a 2-quart heavy saucepan, melt chocolates and butter over low heat, stirring constantly. Once melted, remove from heat and cool. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat sugar, eggs, and vanilla until thick and pale, about 5 minutes. Gradually mix in flour, salt, and melted chocolate on low speed until combined. Fold in marshmallows and peanuts. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan on a rack for about 1 hour, then refrigerate covered for at least 2 hours. Use foil to lift brownies out of the pan, cut into 6 rows by 3 rows, and insert a stick into one end of each brownie. Melt candy coating in a small microwavable bowl on High for 30 to 45 seconds. Stir until smooth, then spoon into a small resealable plastic bag and drizzle over brownies after cutting off a tiny corner of the bag. Sprinkle with pretzels and let them stand for 30 minutes before serving.
