Spicy Russian carrot salad with Korean twist, featuring coriander and cayenne for a zesty marinated dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and julienned (preferably with a mandoline)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.33333334326744 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.5 onion, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • In a large mixing bowl, gently layer the carrots and generously sprinkle the garlic over the top.
  • Combine the vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl.
  • In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft and translucent, about 5 to 7 minutes. Mix in coriander and cayenne pepper, then add to the carrot mixture. Pour vinegar dressing over the carrots and mix well to coat.
  • Place the carrot salad in a container with a secure lid, refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours, and remember to mix the salad occasionally as it absorbs the flavors.
