Homemade Russian cheese doughnut balls - a must-try delicacy!
Ingredients:
  • 9 ounces farmer's cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract, or to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine farmer's cheese, flour, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a bowl and mix until a sticky dough forms.
  • Shape dough into moistened 1-inch balls to prevent sticking.
  • Preheat oil in a deep-fryer or heavy saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C. Oil is ready when it shimmers, and tiny bubbles form around a wooden spoon inserted in it.
  • Fry the dough balls in hot oil for about 2 minutes until golden. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Repeat with the rest of the dough and dust with confectioners' sugar.
