Savory sausage and cabbage soup with white beans in a flavorful tomato broth - a comforting and satisfying choice for a cozy meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
  • 2 medium carrots, cut into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 3 (16 ounce) cans great northern beans, drained
  • 0.5 medium head cabbage, roughly chopped
  • 1.25 teaspoons Italian seasoning
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sauté sausage until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in carrots, onion, celery, and garlic; cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Combine chicken broth, beans, tomatoes, cabbage, and Italian seasoning in a pot and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook until the cabbage is tender, for about 5 to 10 minutes.
