Ingredients:
  • 1 gallon water
  • 2 tablespoons whole black peppercorns
  • 1 cup kosher salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.5 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
Instructions:
  • Put peppercorns in a sealed plastic bag and crush them on a work surface with a rolling pin.
  • In a large bowl, mix together water, crushed peppercorns, salt, brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, white sugar, jalapeno peppers, garlic, and onion powder until the sugars and salt are fully dissolved.
