Elevate salmon with a flavorful Asian marinade of soy, sake, mirin, and sugar. Perfect for a light and delicious summer meal, paired with grilled or stir-fried veggies.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup light soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup sake
  • 0.25 cup mirin (sweetened Asian wine)
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Combine the soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar in a shallow dish. Add the salmon fillets, skin side up, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
  • In a wok or skillet over medium-high heat, warm up vegetable oil. Drain salmon, set aside the marinade, then cook salmon for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, basting with marinade to enhance flavor and moisture. Serve when easily flaked with a fork.
