Enhance flavor and moisture by storing leftover salt beef in broth.
Ingredients:
  • 1.6 kg kosher brined beef brisket
  • 2 onions
  • 4 fresh bay leaves
  • 6 pink or black peppercorns
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, add the brisket and cover it with cold water. Quarter the onions and add them to the pan along with bay leaves and peppercorns. Bring it to a boil, then simmer over low heat for 2 to 2 1/2 hours until the brisket is tender. Remove the brisket carefully to a cutting board, slice, and serve warm with Yorkshire puddings and steamed greens.
