Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup Mott's® Original or Cinnamon Applesauce
  • 0.5 cup chopped dried apples
  • 1 cup caramel bits*
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.125 teaspoon coarse sea salt, or to taste**
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9-inch square pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, confectioners' sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  • In a large bowl, mix the butter until creamy. Then add the egg, applesauce, and vanilla extract, and beat together until well combined.
  • Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and stir until well mixed. Gently fold in the diced apples, caramel bits, and walnuts until fully incorporated. Transfer the batter into a greased pan, spreading it out evenly.

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing them into 16 portions.
