Salted caramel chocolate chip cookies: a delightful twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1.75 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 18 unwrapped caramel candies (such as Werther's®), each cut into 6 pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and whisk together.
  • In a bowl, cream brown sugar, butter, and white sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, ensuring they are well combined. Mix in vanilla extract. Fold in flour mixture until just combined, then gently fold in chocolate chips.
  • Shape the dough into thirty-six 2-tablespoon-size balls and place them on a baking sheet. Gently press 3 caramel pieces into each dough ball.
  • Bake until edges are golden brown, about 13-15 minutes. Then, cool cookies on a wire rack.
