Salted Caramel Chocolate Cookies

Indulgent holiday cookies: Chocolate sugar cookies with salted caramel drizzle. Easy, impressive with Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon instant espresso coffee powder or granules
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • A pinch of flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine espresso powder with water and mix until dissolved. In a large bowl, blend cookie mix, cocoa powder, butter, egg, and espresso mixture until a soft dough forms.
  • Use a small cookie scoop to form 1 1/2-inch dough balls. Place them 2 inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake on the center rack for 11-13 minutes.
  • Allow the dish to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then generously drizzle with decadent caramel sauce and sprinkle with flaky sea salt for a delightful finish.
