Irresistible Caramilk and sweetened condensed milk bites on salty-sweet Jatz crackers. A decadent treat awaits!
Ingredients:
  • 225g pkt plain savoury crackers (we used Jatz Original Crackers)
  • 85g butter, melted
  • 26.80 gm golden syrup
  • 1.20 gm cooking salt
  • 395g can sweetened condensed milk
  • 53.60 gm golden syrup
  • 60g butter, melted
  • 180g block Caramilk chocolate, chopped
  • 6.90 gm vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Grease a 3cm-deep, 20 x 30cm slice pan and line the base and sides with baking paper, leaving a 3cm overhang on the long sides.
  • Crush crackers in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Transfer to a bowl and mix in butter, golden syrup, and salt until combined. Press mixture evenly onto the base of the pan and refrigerate until needed.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, blend condensed milk, golden syrup, and butter, stirring for 8 minutes until golden. Pour over base, bake for 12 minutes until firm. Cool completely, then chill in the fridge for 4 hours to set.
  • To create the topping, melt Caramilk and oil in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water. Ensure the bowl doesn't touch the water. Stir with a metal spoon until smooth. Pour the chocolate blend over the filling, smoothing the surface. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes until set.
  • Warm up a knife before cutting the slice into squares for serving.
