Indulge in irresistible dulce de leche chocolate chip cookie bars for the perfect sweet and salty treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • Butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch
  • 1/3 cup dulce de leche or cajeta
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • Pecan halves, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously spray a 9-inch square pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, use a spoon to mix the Cookie Base ingredients until a soft dough forms. Spread the dough evenly in the pan and bake for 22 to 26 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 5 minutes on a cooling rack.
  • Microwave dulce de leche or cajeta in a bowl for 30 seconds until smooth. Spread over warm cookie base.
  • Microwave chocolate chips in a small bowl on High for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth. Drizzle over the bar, sprinkle with salt, and add pecans if desired. Chill in the refrigerator for about 2 hours until set.
  • Cut the dish into a 5x5 grid and refrigerate while covered.
