Spice up chicken with Old El Paso® salsa for a quick and delicious meal! Ready in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup thick & chunky medium salsa
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 12 chicken legs (about 3 1/2 lb)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat the grill while you blend together the tomato sauce, salsa, brown sugar, vinegar, and chili powder until smooth. Transfer half of the sauce to a small bowl for basting. Reserve the rest in another bowl for serving.
  • Season chicken legs with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Grill the chicken over medium heat, turning once, until the thickest part reaches 165°F and the juices run clear. Brush the chicken legs generously with sauce, ensuring each side is coated evenly. Grill for an additional 1 to 2 minutes on each side.
  • Drizzle the delicious sauce over the chicken and enjoy it as a scrumptious dipping option on the side.
