Cheesy Bisquick crust loaded with Mexican-inspired beans, salsa, and cheese toppings. Ready in no time!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup mild salsa-flavor or jalapeño-flavor process cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 can (16 oz) Old El Paso™ Traditional Refried Beans
  • 1/2 cup thick & chunky salsa
  • 4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
  • 1 cup shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese (4 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped (3/4 cup)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and generously grease a large cookie sheet with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, cheese sauce, and hot water in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms; beat vigorously 20 times. Dust surface with Bisquick mix and roll dough to coat. Shape into a ball and knead about 5 times until smooth. Roll dough into a 14-inch round and place on a cookie sheet.
  • Mix beans and salsa in a medium bowl, then spread over the crust, leaving a 2-inch border. Scatter onions on top, fold the crust over the bean mixture, and finish by sprinkling cheese over it.
  • Bake until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly, about 25 to 28 minutes. Top with fresh lettuce and juicy tomato slices before serving.
