Fun and simple cookie decorating for the whole family!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Flour, butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for cutout cookies
  • 10 oz vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), melted
  • 1/2 cup red candy sprinkles or red sugar
  • 24 miniature marshmallows
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare the cookie dough according to the instructions on the pouch for cutout cookies. Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured work surface. Use a 2-inch round cutter to cut out 24 cookies. Place the cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 9 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges. Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the sheet, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely, approximately 30 minutes.
  • Dip the top third of each cookie into melted candy coating and place them on waxed paper. Sprinkle three-fourths of the coating with red sprinkles, leaving a small white border at the bottom to resemble a hat. Place a marshmallow on the side of each hat. Let them set for about 1 hour until completely firm.
