Giant cinnamon chip cookies sprinkled with cinnamon sugar for a bold and sweet treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cinnamon-flavored baking chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (or 350°F for dark or nonstick pans). In a large bowl, cream together 1 1/2 cups of sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs until smooth. Mix in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Fold in cinnamon chips and pecans.
  • Combine 2 tablespoons of sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl. Form dough into 1/4 cup-sized balls and coat them with the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Space balls 3 inches apart on a large ungreased cookie sheet before baking (do not flatten).
  • Bake for 13 to 17 minutes until lightly golden and set. Transfer to a wire rack right away.
