Whip up quick and tasty satay meatball noodles with clever tricks.
Ingredients:
  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 1 small (about 100g) brown onion, halved, finely chopped
  • 2.50 gm ground cumin
  • 3/4 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 9.20 gm vegetable oil
  • 2 x 100g sachets satay sauce (Amoy Straight to Wok brand)
  • 1 x 440g pkt thin hokkien noodles
  • 150g snow peas, ends trimmed
  • 62.50 ml loosely packed fresh coriander leaves, to garnish
Instructions:
  • Step: Gently mix the mince, onion, cumin, coriander, and egg in a large glass or ceramic bowl with your hands until fully combined. Shape the mixture into 12 equal-sized balls.
  • In a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat, warm the oil. Sear meatballs for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and fully cooked. Lower the heat to medium and mix in the satay sauce. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is heated through.
  • Place the noodles and snow peas in a steamer basket over boiling water. Steam for 2-3 minutes until noodles are soft and snow peas are vibrant green and tender crisp.
  • Portion out the noodle mixture into individual serving bowls. Arrange meatballs on top and drizzle generously with the satay sauce. Finish off with a sprinkle of fresh coriander leaves for a delightful garnish. Serve immediately for the best experience.
