Flavorful Asian salad with crispy noodles and toasted sesame seeds for added crunch.
Ingredients:
  • 4 pork leg steaks
  • 12.00 gm sesame seeds
  • 18.20 gm peanut oil
  • 100g fried noodles
  • 5 shallots, ends trimmed, thinly sliced diagonally
  • 250.00 ml baby wombok (Chinese cabbage), finely shredded
  • 250.00 ml fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 red capsicum, halved, deseeded, thinly sliced
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) bought satay sauce
Instructions:
  • In a large non-stick frying pan over medium-low heat, toast the sesame seeds by tossing them for about 2 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to a plate.
  • 1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sear pork for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Rest on a plate, covered with foil for 5 minutes before slicing thickly.
  • In a bowl, mix together the pork, noodles, shallot, wombok, coriander, and capsicum. Divide the mixture among serving dishes. Drizzle the sauce over each dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
