Indulgent and creamy rose pasta sauce with a touch of sweetness, white wine, and herbs, perfect for a quick and elegant dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons minced green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 7 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon chicken soup base
  • 6 fluid ounces heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup white wine
Instructions:
  • Prepare all necessary ingredients.
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a gentle boil, then add tortellini. Cook uncovered until the tortellini float to the top and the filling is hot, approximately 4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, warm olive oil over gentle heat. Add basil, thyme, oregano, parsley, and red pepper flakes to infuse the oil with flavorful herbs.
  • Sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until onions are translucent, approximately 2 minutes.
  • Add the tomato sauce to the pot and bring it to a lively boil. Stir in the sugar and chicken bouillon until completely dissolved.
  • Lower the heat and add the cream and wine, stirring constantly until near boiling. Carefully fold in the tortellini and serve.
