Classic Italian bake with sausage, potatoes, peppers, onions, and white wine for a delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 pounds Italian sausage links, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and thickly sliced
  • 2 large green bell peppers, seeded and cut into wedges
  • 2 large red bell peppers, seeded and cut into wedges
  • 3 large onions, cut into wedges
  • 0.5 cup white wine
  • 0.5 cup chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Collect all the necessary ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for baking perfection.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, warm 2 teaspoons of olive oil. Brown the sausage by cooking and stirring for 5 to 10 minutes. Transfer the cooked sausage to a large baking dish.
  • Drizzle 1/4 cup of olive oil into the skillet and sauté potatoes until golden brown, stirring occasionally, for approximately 10 minutes.
  • Transfer the potatoes to the baking dish, making sure to retain some of the oil in the skillet.
  • Sauté green and red peppers along with onions in a hot skillet until they start to soften, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Place the vegetables in the baking dish and drizzle with wine and chicken stock. Season generously with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Combine sausage, potatoes, and vegetables with a delicate stir.
  • Bake until golden and bubbling in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. Serve piping hot.
