Sausage Rolls with Maille® Dijon Originale Mustard

"Delicious cocktail sausages and ham wrapped in golden pastry with a hint of Dijon mustard. Perfect party appetizers!"
Ingredients:
  • 6 ounces all-purpose flour
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Maille® Dijon Originale mustard
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 12 cocktail sausages
  • 4 slices ham
  • 1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
  • Prepare the pastry by combining flour, butter, egg, and Maille® Dijon Originale mustard in a food processor until a ball forms. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in cling film, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan until sizzling, then fry cocktail sausages until golden brown. Remove from pan and let cool slightly before wrapping each sausage in a strip of ham.
  • Roll out the chilled pastry on a floured surface, then cut into rectangles big enough to wrap each sausage. Encase the sausages in pastry, seal with egg wash, slash the tops, and brush with more egg wash.
  • Place in a hot oven set at 375 degrees F for approximately 15 minutes, or until the pastry turns a beautiful golden brown.
