Sautéed Asparagus and Mushrooms

Sautéed asparagus and cremini mushrooms make a delicious, effortless side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon refined coconut oil
  • 8 ounces sliced cremini mushrooms
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • flaky sea salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Trim the woody ends off the asparagus, then chop the spears into 1 1/2-inch pieces.
  • 1. In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the refined coconut oil. Saute cremini mushrooms until tender, about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add asparagus and cook until bright green and tender, about 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in garlic during the last minute of cooking. Season with flaky salt and black pepper to taste.
