Sauteed beans and asparagus with garlic and chive butter

Festive holiday side of crispy green beans and asparagus.
Ingredients:
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 300g fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 3 bunches asparagus
  • 50g butter, chopped
  • 40.00 ml chopped fresh chives
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium heat, warm up some oil. Toss in garlic and sauté for 1 minute until softened but not browned. Add beans and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until they become bright green. Transfer the flavorful mix of beans and garlic to a bowl.
  • Place the asparagus in the pan and cook until it turns bright green, about 2-3 minutes. Lower the heat and add back the beans and garlic. Mix in butter and chives, cooking for another 2 minutes until the butter melts. Season with salt and pepper, then serve.
