Succulent Ahi tuna seared in a tangy blackberry-passion fruit marinade, perfect with rice or veggies for a refreshing summer meal.
Ingredients:
  • 3 blackberries
  • 0.5 cup passion fruit juice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 4 (6 ounce) ahi tuna steaks
  • 0.5 stalk green onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Combine crushed blackberries in a bowl with passion fruit juice, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, parsley, sea salt, and pepper. Mix until a smooth marinade forms.
  • Place the tuna in a glass dish and generously coat with marinade, ensuring it's well-covered. Seal the dish with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the fridge for 2 hours.
  • Remove the tuna from the marinade, shake off any excess, and discard the leftover marinade.
  • Preheat a nonstick skillet over high heat and sear tuna for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer the contents from the skillet onto a cutting board and slice into 1/4-inch thick slices.
