Quick and flavorful pan-fried cod with a smoky dry rub, reminiscent of grilled perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon celery seed
  • 2 (6 ounce) cod filets, patted dry
  • 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions:
  • Combine smoked paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and celery seed in a bowl, stirring until evenly mixed. Then, coat cod filets on all sides with the seasoning mixture and arrange them on a plate.
  • In a sizzling skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat, then sear cod for 3 minutes.
  • Flip the filets, drizzle lemon juice on top, and cook until the cod easily flakes with a fork, approximately 2 more minutes. Plate the cod and sprinkle with fresh parsley as a finishing touch.
