Spicy serrano hot sauce: Serrano peppers, garlic, vinegar, and salt create a flavorful, fiery sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 14 serrano chile peppers, stemmed
  • 6 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1.5 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1.5 cups distilled white vinegar
Instructions:
  • In a food processor, blend serrano peppers, garlic, and salt until finely chopped. While blending, gradually add vinegar through the feed tube until sauce is smooth, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the sauce to a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer for 1 minute. Then, transfer the sauce to a clean jar and refrigerate for at least 1 day.
  • Pass the sauce through a fine-mesh strainer and chill in the refrigerator.
