Juicy beef over fluffy rice ready in just 45 minutes - a hearty dinner option!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound beef boneless sirloin steak
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki marinade or sauce
  • 3 medium green onions, finely chopped (3 tablespoons)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 cups hot cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seed, toasted if desired
Instructions:
  • Slice the beef thinly at a diagonal angle against the grain into 1/8-inch slices. For easier slicing, partially freeze the beef for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Combine the teriyaki marinade, onions, and garlic in a medium glass or plastic bowl. Add the beef and mix until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Strain beef mixture from marinade, keeping the marinade. In a 10-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sear beef mixture in oil until browned, stirring occasionally. Add reserved marinade, bring to a boil, and simmer for 1 minute.
  • Serve the flavorful beef mixture over a bed of fluffy rice and generously sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds for added texture and nutty flavor.
