Tender chicken breasts cooked low and slow with soy sauce, honey, ketchup, and sesame seeds for a flavorful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons dried minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Evenly coat the chicken in the slow cooker. Combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, onion, oil, and garlic powder in a bowl, then pour over the chicken.
  • Slow cook for 3 to 4 hours on low heat, or 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours on high heat.
  • Transfer the chicken from the sauce to a cutting board and keep aside.
  • Whisk water and cornstarch in a small bowl until well combined; fold into the sauce in the slow cooker.
  • Simmer on High heat until the sauce slightly thickens, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Dice the chicken into bite-sized pieces, mix it into the savory sauce, and generously sprinkle with aromatic sesame seeds.
