Create decadent dessert bars with layers of coconut, chocolate, butterscotch, condensed milk, pecans, and walnuts atop crumb cake for a truly indulgent treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/3 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Prepare a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish by greasing it or lining it with cooking parchment paper.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla, and egg in a large bowl. Use an electric mixer to blend on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping the bowl as needed. Increase speed to medium and continue to beat for 4 minutes, scraping the bowl occasionally. Gently fold in 1/2 to 3/4 cup of chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the pan.
  • After baking for 20 minutes, generously sprinkle a layer of coconut over the top. Follow by adding 1 cup each of chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Drizzle the condensed milk evenly over the top, then sprinkle with chopped pecans and walnuts.
  • Continue baking until the top turns a beautiful golden brown hue, approximately 10 to 15 minutes more. Allow the bars to cool at room temperature for a minimum of 2 hours before slicing into neat portions. Ensuring they are properly cooled will prevent a sticky situation!
