Sautéed Brussels sprouts with butter, pine nuts, bacon, and green onions - a flavorful and satisfying side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound sliced bacon
  • 0.66666668653488 cup pine nuts
  • 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, cored and shredded
  • 3 green onions, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Set aside the bacon, crumble it, and reserve 2 tablespoons of grease in the skillet.
  • In the same skillet over medium heat, combine the butter and reserved bacon grease until melted. Add pine nuts and cook until browned. Mix in Brussels sprouts and green onions, then season with seasoning salt and pepper. Cook until sprouts are wilted and tender, for about 10-15 minutes. Just before serving, stir in crumbled bacon.
