Delicious egg foo young with shrimp, bean sprouts, and green onions, topped with a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces fresh bean sprouts
  • 1 cup cooked small shrimp
  • 0.33333334326744 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Chinese cooking wine
Instructions:
  • Combine bean sprouts, shrimp, eggs, green onions, and garlic powder in a large bowl, mixing thoroughly.
  • 1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Spoon 1/2 cup of egg mixture into the skillet to form a patty. Continue making patties until the skillet is full. Fry until golden brown on each side, around 4 minutes per side, working in batches.
  • While you wait, prepare the sauce by whisking together chicken broth, cornstarch, sugar, cooking wine, and soy sauce in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Let it simmer until thickened, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Drizzle the sauce generously over the patties.
