Tasty shrimp lo mein with spaghetti in a savory soy-hoisin sauce - a quick and delicious Asian dinner!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1.5 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1.5 cups uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup green onions, chopped
Instructions:
  • 1. Boil a generously salted large pot of water. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 12 minutes. Drain well.
  • Combine chicken broth, sugar, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a bowl and whisk until well blended.
  • In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, sauté shrimp and garlic in oil until shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 5 minutes. Lower heat to medium-low, stir in sauce and green onions, and simmer until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. Toss in cooked spaghetti until well coated. Serve hot.
