Succulent shrimp in a buttery garlic white wine sauce, served with linguine for an elegant and easy meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package linguine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 shallots, finely diced
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pinch kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 0.5 cup dry white wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Collect all the necessary ingredients.
  • Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook linguine until almost tender, for about 6 to 8 minutes. Drain the pasta.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, combine 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil until melted.
  • Sauté shallots, garlic, and red pepper flakes in butter and oil until shallots are translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Season shrimp generously with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Sear in the skillet until pink and cooked through, stirring occasionally for 2 to 3 minutes. Set aside cooked shrimp and keep them warm.
  • Add white wine and lemon juice to a skillet and bring to a boil, deglazing the bottom of the skillet with a wooden spoon to release all the flavorful browned bits of food.
  • Combine 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet and heat until simmering.
  • Coat linguine, shrimp, and parsley in the butter mixture, season with salt and black pepper, and drizzle with 1 teaspoon olive oil before serving.
  • Serve the dish piping hot and savor every bite!
