Spring shrimp with caramelized onions, ginger, garlic, and cilantro, served over couscous for a flavorful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • 0.75 cup white wine
  • 1 pound medium shrimp - peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sizzle onions in olive oil until they are golden brown, about 10 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute, then pour in wine and bring to a boil.
  • Cook the shrimp until they start turning pink, approximately 3 minutes, then add the snow peas and cook until slightly softened, around 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then mix in chopped cilantro before serving promptly.
