Peanut butter-swirled banana bread: a decadent twist on a classic favorite, perfect for breakfast or snacking.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup peanut butter
  • 0.33333334326744 cup shortening
  • 0.66666668653488 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup mashed very ripe banana
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 cup buttermilk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then generously grease a 4x8-inch loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, combine peanut butter and shortening, then gradually add sugar until light and fluffy. Incorporate one egg into the mixture before adding the second, ensuring it's fully blended. Fold in mashed banana.
  • Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a bowl. Alternately fold in the flour mixture and buttermilk into the banana mixture until just combined. Transfer the batter into the loaf pan.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 1 hour in the preheated oven.
