Simple Scottish Shortbread

Deliciously light and buttery shortbread, reminiscent of Walkers. Perfect for small batches, not ideal for doubling.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.33333298563957 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and butter a 9-inch square baking dish.
  • Combine flour, sugar, and butter until fully mixed; the dough will be firm. Press into the dish and pierce the top with a fork multiple times.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges turn pale golden brown. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
