Classic Scottish dish with smoked haddock, known as "the milk fish" in our family. Served with creamy mashed potatoes and peas, a heartwarming Canadian favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds smoked haddock fillets
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups warm milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for optimal baking conditions.
  • Add smoked haddock to a glass baking dish. Combine flour with melted butter until smooth, then mix in milk and pour over the haddock.
  • Bake in a hot oven until the sauce thickens and the fish easily flakes with a fork, approximately 35 minutes.
