Succulent baked Salisbury steak: Seasoned beef patties seared and baked in creamy mushroom gravy.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
  • 1 (10 ounce) can beef broth
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.5 teaspoon dry mustard
Instructions:
  • Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, beaten eggs, onion soup mix, salt, and pepper in a big bowl until fully mixed. Gently stir in half of the beef broth until well moistened. Shape mixture into 6 patties of equal size.
  • 1. Preheat a Dutch oven over medium heat. Sear patties until golden on both sides, about 3 to 5 minutes per side. Remove any extra grease, keeping patties in the pot.
  • Combine condensed soup, the rest of the beef broth, and dry mustard in a medium bowl until velvety; pour over browned patties in the pot.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes until patties are no longer pink in the center, and an instant-read thermometer registers at least 160°F (70°C).
